The Face Shop - I Love Pure Colour

Hello my lovely readers,

I decided to post another blog today on a The Face Shop product I received for my Birthday and this is the I Love Pure Colour Lip Gloss/Stick. :)

Jumping straight into the review, the colour I got is #BB004 Chic Brown
and dont worry, this looks nothing like a brown. This lipgloss/stick is a corally milky kind of colou
r and it is a great colour for everyday wear.

Packaging: It contains 4.5g of product which is usually the size for lip glosses. The packging is relatively small and good for travel. It has a doe foot applicator which is easy to apply.

Formula: The formula of this is very soft and velvety. It is not sticky and pretty moisturizing. It has a orangy lolly scent and I freakin LOVE it. The gloss is not crazy pigmented like European Brands which I prefer.

Finish: The finish of this is not crazy glossy but it does provide a shine to the lips. It makes your lips juicy looking like what we see in the Korean Ads.

Lasting power: becuase the gloss is very light, it doesnt very long on your lips, say about 2-3 hours :)

Overall: This is a nice gloss to have, nothing crazy but nothing special. It is good to add to your collection if you are crazy about makeup like me. Plus, its not too expensive so it wouldnt hurt if you dont end up liking it.

The above are my thoughts and I hope you guys find it helpful. Leave down in the comments if there are any make up products you would like me to review, both Western Brands and Asian Brands:) Also if there are any suggestions you would like to make, leave it down below as well. The Face Shop - Power Perfection BB Cream SPF37

Hi Guys!

Sorry for the lack of make up reviews, I've been busy with work and blah blah blah.

Anyway, today I will be reviewing The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream in Light Beige.

First of all, this BB cream claims to "provide total skin treatment to achieve a power perfection skin by imparting proactive care to overall skin problems, including bagginess, roughness and dryness".  Well, in my case, the first two skin problems doesn't apply but I definitely do have dry skin. If you'd ask me if it improves the dryness, I'm not too sure but I do like this BB cream compared to my other ones.

Colour: The colour I have is Light Beige and I feel its a pretty good match to my NC20 skin, maybe just a tad lighter. However, Korean BB creams are usually lighter than European Foundations hence providing a brightening effect. The colour is pretty neutral but it does lean a little on the pinker side. One thing I can promise you is that this foundation doesn't have that grayish look that most Korean BB creams have. I have attached a photo compared to the famous Missha BB cream and you can see, its not a huge difference but you can definitely see it when you apply it to the face.

(Left: The Face Shop Right: Missha)
Texture: The texture of this BB cream is on the liquidy side hence feeling light on the skin. It is good to blender and I tend to use a Beauty Blender to apply it. It is moisturising and good for combo & dry skin.

Lasting power: The max I've worn this foundation is 5 hours and its pretty good. Didn't have to touch up but usually I don't need to touch up my foundations anyway.

Coverage: This is a medium coverage BB cream and covers most of my imperfections which are the DAMN freckles. I prefer a sheer/ligh coverage so I would wear this on a bad skin day. It doesn't terribly cling to dry skin but you do want to moisturise well before using it.

(after it has been blended)
Price: The price of  this is $57 and I received this as a birthday present. The price of this is pretty good consider how expensive cosmetics are in New Zealand. I'd rather spend $57.00 on this compared to Revlon Colour Stay

Scent: I am horrible at describing scents, it just has that typically Korean Cosmetic scent, nothing too special and it goes away after a while. It never really bothers me

What I don't like??
This dislike applies to all BB creams and it is the FLASHBACK, because of the sunscreen inside. It gives a white cast to your face in flash photography. However, it does look good if photos are taken in natural lighting during the day.

Overall:
This is a good BB cream and it is my favourite out of the three I have which are the Missha, Aqua Jelly. I recommend it to dry and combo skin but not oily skin. If you want to try it out and lives in Auckland, pop into the store on Queen St to request for a sample. The staff there are very nice and they having AMAZING SKIN, I am sure they will be able to help you out. These are my thoughts on the BB cream and I hope you enjoyed reading it.

MAC Face & Body Foundation

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post and today I will be reviewing MAC's Face & Body foundation. I picked up mine from the MAC website for $27.00 in the shade C2 and used YouShop to get it to New Zealand. Even with the postage, the price is still cheaper than buying it in New Zealand.

Packaging: The packaging reminds me of those craft glue bottles we used to have in college. Apart from that, I found the packaging really convenient, I can just threw into my bag without worrying that it will leak. The little nozzle is also GENIUS, I can just get the right amount of product without wasting any.

GENIUS design of the nozzle
Consistency/Coverage: Comparing to other foundations, face & body feels very liquidy hence providing a sheer coverage. It is really easy to blend and gives you a extremely natural look. If you are the kind of gal who likes the flawless look, then this foundation is definitely not for you. However, you can build it to medium coverage if you apply 2-3 layers and it won't look cakey at all.

Flash photography: This foundation is perfect for photos, it gives you a dewy finish with a subtle glow. Most IMPORTANTLY, this foundation gives no flashbacks so you don't have to worry looking like a ghost in photos which is always a plus.

Over with the PROS, you may ask any CONS for this foundation?? I'd say YES but it doesn't really bother me. The smell of this foundation isn't the best, mmm.. kinda smells like glue but it does fade away after a while. It does sometimes break me out which all MAC foundations do. Another con is that "IT'S SO BLOODY HARD TO REMOVE" because of its waterproof formula. But then I guess its a good thing if you are planning to wear the foundation for the whole day.

Anyway, these are my thoughts on the foundation and I hope you enjoyed my first post. I will be posting more reviews on this blog, please let me know what products you will be interested to find out more about.
